Brandth holds a BA degree from Bates College, USA and a Cand.phil. from the University of Trondheim (1977). Fields of interest are family, work, welfare state and rural sociology with an emphasis on gender. Research has particularly focused on 1) family policies and fathers’ use of the parental leave system, 2) gender constructions in agriculture.

| Jensen graduated as Cand.Polit in 1975 and PhD in 1996, University of Oslo. Thesis: Fertility – between passion and utility. The value of children and demographic change. Professor in sociology since 1997. Field of interests include family changes, fertility and childhood sociology. International perspectives. Field works in Latin America and Kenya. Present projects: The Social Meaning of Children (with Anne Lise Ellingsæter, UiO and Merete Lie, NTNU) and Fertility and Poverty: the role of gender and reproductive health. |

| Kari Moxnes (f. 1944) er magister i sosiologi (AVH 1979) og dr. polit. i sosiologi (NTNU 1989). Hun ble først ansatt i fast stilling som første amanuensis i sosiologi i 1990 og ble professor i 1999. |
