Jennifer Bailey holds a PhD (1990) in International Studies from the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at the University of Denver, an MA (1981) in International Studies from GSIS and in Government from Georgetown University, and a BA  (1978) in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. She first joined NTNU in 1994 as Amanuensis (Assistant Professor).

de Soysa is a Political Scientist with a special interest in political economy. Fields of interest are development, globalization, the effects of trade openness and foreign investment on poor countries, causes of civil and international conflict, the political economy of natural resource management, and international political economy, and international human rights, and consequences of ethnicity

Karin Dyrstad (f. 1982) er dr.polit i statsvitenskap (NTNU 2012). Hun er for tiden ansatt som stipendiat ved ISS og Centre for the Study of Civil War, PRIO. Forskningsinteressene hennes er politisk atferd og demokratisering i konfliktområder.

Ellingsen er cand.polit. (1995) i statsvitenskap fra universitetet i Trondheim og jobber med en doktorgrad omkring temaet 'sammenstøt mellom sivilisasjoner. Hun fikk tilkjent førstekompetanse i 2004 basert på øvrige publikasjoner. Hennes forskningsfelt er internasjonal politikk, med særlig interesse for borgerkrigsstudier og etniske og religiøse konflikter, demokrati og demokratisering samt globalisering. Ellingsen er tilknyttet forskningsgruppen Values and Violence som er en av undergruppene til CSCW (Center for the Study of Civil War).

Gunnar Fermann is Associate Professor in Political Science (International Relations) at The Department of Sociology and Political Science at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (since 1997), and holds a Magister Artium degree in Political Science from the University of Oslo (1991).  Gunnar Fermann has been associated with The Norwegian Institute for International Relations (1985-88, 90-1), The Norwegian Defence Institute (1991), The Frithjof Nansens Institute (1992-94), and The Centre for Environment and Development, NTNU (1995-96).

Fermann is head of The E.On Ruhrgas Scholarship Programme Committee for Political Science/European Studies  (2009-), head of The Advisory Council of Teachers Educational Programmes of the NTNU (2009-), head of The Teachers Programme in Social Sciences at NTNU (2008-), and associated with The Programme for Industrial Ecology, NTNU  (2004-).

Present research activities focus on issues of energy-security and foreign-policy analysis.

Scott Gates (PhD, University of Michigan) is professor of political science and director of the Centre for the Study of Civil War, PRIO.

Jo Jakobsen, associate professor at ISS, obtained his Ph.D. in political science in 2007 at NTNU. His research focuses primarily on international politics and security. At NTNU Jakobsen primarily teaches courses on international relations. 

Ann Iren Jamtøy (f.1976) er dr.polit i Statsvitenskap (NTNU 2011). Hun er for tiden ansatt som førsteamanuensis med fagansvar for masterstudiet: Medier, kommunikasjon og informasjonsteknologi.

Knutsen has a Ph.D. from the University of Denver and an M.A. from Georgetown University. He has taught at Vanderbilt University and George Mason University, and has conducted research at University of Southern California, the Norwegian Nobel Institute and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Relations (SAIS).

His recent monographs include A History of International Relations Theory (1997), The Rise and Fall of World Orders (1999) and Blodspor (2003). He has edited The Norwegian Journal of Political Science and is currently working on issues concerning democracy, peace, terrorism and foreign policy. He is spending the spring semester of 2012 in Odense, as H.C. Andersen professor at the University of Southern Denmark.

Sabrina P. Ramet (born 1949) received her A.B. in philosophy from Stanford University in 1971, her M.A. in international relations from the University of Arkansas in 1974, and her Ph.D. in political science (with an outside field in sociology) from U.C.L.A. in 1981. 

Marit Reitan er cand.polit. med hovedfag i statsvitenskap (UiO 1990) og dr.polit. i statsvitenskap (UiO 1998). Hun ble fast ansatt ved NTNU som førsteamanuensis i 1998 og professor fra 2008.

Ole Bjørn Røste er siviløkonom fra NHH (1986), cand. polit. i statsvitenskap fra UiO (1995) og dr. polit. i samfunnsøkonomi fra UiO (2006). Han ble ansatt i stillingen i 2003.
